LEDs are brighter and light faster, draw less current and generate less heat than incandescents. They are sealed completely, and the wires coming out of the back are sealed too. But Please do not use it under water, or water will come in and destory the circuit in the light;
Installation: These surface mount 6 oval lights are HARDWIRED with 3 wires: White is Ground, Red is back up light or reverse light and Black is tail/running light; They're surface mount with 4 holes to secure and you'd need a hole for the wires to go through as there's no room under the light for connections and some silicone sealer if connections are inside so water can't get in hole for wires;
Dimensions: 7-9/16" x 3-5/16" x 15/16", 7" for horizontal hole distance and 2-2/3" for vertical hole distance;
