Making your own tire carrier? This is for you. The AtoZ Fabrication tire carrier hinge is the most used kit on the market. The standard spindles are good for up to 31" tires while the Mega Spindle is designed for larger tires or if you plan on putting accessories on your swing-away! The spindles fit into a hole you drill in your bumper, 1.25" for the standard spindle and 1.5" for the Mega spindle. This kit include all bearings, races, seals, and hardware needed for installation. Once you weld the spindle into your bumper and weld the 4" tall, 2.25" OD hinge tube onto your tire carrier you have a well sealed and very strong assembly. These can also be used for any fabrication project you have that needs a heavy duty pivot - there are hundreds of creative ways to utilize these kits. There is no warranty or liability implied on this product as we cannot control how it is used or installed. If you have a heavy tire/wheel combo or are adding options to your swing away then we highly recommend an upgrade to our Mega Spindle! All Mega Spindles are manufactured from 4140 Chromoly steel for un-matched strength! Kit includes 1 spindle (standard duty or mega duty), 1 CNC-Machined outer hinger tube (2.25" OD and 4" tall), 2 tapered roller bearing sets (1 upper and 1 lower), 1 bottom lip seal, 1 upper cap seal, 1 assembly hardware kit (washer, castle nut, cotter pin).
