Rear Tank Support Crossmember replace the crossmember located forward of the rear axle that supports the rear end of the gas tank.
Material: Upgrade crossmember is made of heavy-duty steel. The surface is galvanized to prevent rust and make it last longer.
Function: Pre-welded on the cross tube are the left side inside mount plate, the right side upper shock mount, the fuel tank strap hanger bracket, and the fuel tank support mount bracket with new bolt included.
Easy install. No need to remove the truck bed, just remove the fuel tank, the old shock and cut away the remaining crossmember. Set the replacement cross member in place, weld it solid, and reinstall your fuel tank and new shocks.
Note: Because all GMC tanks are not the same, mine was wider. It's a crew cab so you may had to cut off the strap mounting bracket and move it over about 2 in more towards the center of reinforcement.
